It’s Party Time! Join the Fun in Renewing Our Calling
Everyone in the First Parish community is encouraged to participate in the Renewing Our Calling (ROC), an exploration and reflection of who we are and how we feel about our shared ministry. In late March, the congregation will gather in small groups with friends to enjoy fellowship and talk about our vision for our growing church community. We call these gatherings “cottage parties,” and there are about twenty of them happening in members’ and friends’ homes between March 15 and 28.

What do you yearn for at First Parish? How do you envision our shared ministry to each other and to the world at large? Cottage Parties are your chance to share your vision with friends and hear about their dreams too. Each party will have a facilitator and note taker so that everyone’s dreams can be heard in small groups and then shared with entire congregation. The ROC team will hold a town-hall style meeting in May to review the visions and themes that emerge from all the cottage parties.

Renewing Our Calling is foremost about participation and dialogue. We need to hear your voice to make the cottage parties truly successful. Please RSVP for a cottage party by contacting the specific party host directly.

Parties will be held at various locations in Cambridge and Boston. RSVPs are coming in fast and many parties are already full to capacity. Parties with remaining space are listed below in bold. RSVPs for open parties will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
